Soups
Warming bowls for every season — from creamy classics to hearty, meal-sized soups that don't need anything on the side.
A good soup fixes most things
I don't know when I became a soup person, but somewhere between Finnish winters and Irish ones, it just happened. A pot of soup on the stove is the easiest way I know to make a kitchen feel like home. It stretches, it freezes, it gets better the next day.
Some of these are light and clean, some are practically stews with ambitions. The thing they all have in common is that they're the kind of food you make when you want something warm and filling without spending your whole evening at the hob. Ladle it out, tear off some bread, and you're sorted.
